Is a TS 317 equivalent to a LM 317?

Called in Maplins uk today to buy some lm 317 regs, i've just checked the numbers and they have TS 317 printed on them. Are these equivalent regs or have i been sold the wrong thing, can't seem to find any data on them.

odds are pretty good its the same thing, just a different manufacturer (i.e. not National Semi) making an equivalent replacement part....but, just to be sure, don't connect the output to your circuit until you test it.
