So is this anything? This card comes from what I asume is the preamp section of an old Roberts reel to reel two track.

This is one step above the kind of stuff that gave Japanese electronics a bad name. The Japanese have always been able to make very good electronics, but to break into the US market they made some mighty low-price machines.

It has an odd assortment of resistors and transistors. It may have required repairs, early enough in life that someone thought it was worth the trouble. Or Akai may have been using-up assorted parts found around the factory. (I had a Jeep like that....)

It is not an op-amp. It may be a tape head amp or even a mike amp (but not a pro-interface mike amp). The original cost was about a buck, the current value probably a lot less unless you are very good at writing eBay blurbs.

featured here is an incredible discrete transistor amplifier that could be used as a mic pre to warm up the sound of your digital work station. Item is untested and offered as is but it is just awesome. I know because I bought a book for $230 from states and it had an advertisement for this akai tape deck in it. Think about it, if the ad is worth $230, think of what the ACTUAL amplifier card is worth??? Dont miss this opportunity to get this rare deal, my loss is your gain. Please add %3 for paypal fees.

there ya go, on the house.

don't forget the heading

Famous Akai Opamp(Neve, API, SSL, Avalon, Lexicon, Pultec)

and for S&G's here we go

Looking to warm up that digital recording with analog warmth. then look no further.
up for grabs is a most famous piece of electronics. This discrete transister was purchased from an estate sale of a big hollywood producer. Item in question is untested and sold in as is condition but from the looks of it, it's great and very space age looking. I found the same stuff in my bringer so you know it is complete quality. Plus This item was complete gone threw by a tech and covered in rare c37 laquer which adds even more analog warmth by adding tubeness to the whole thing. Can't miss out on this one.
buy it now before someone steals it away from you. you know you will want this one...

dam do I feel seedy

They could have done what Tandberg used to do. Use carbon comps in the unimportant places and carbon films where lower noise was needed.
