Bummer.
-The Muffin men used to fly him over regularly to play with them... and I was friendly with most of the band, so I must have seen them play dozens of times... -Having Jimmy sit in was just a blast for all involved, and he always used to be so gracious and enthusiastic...
Bummed to bits.
After I moved out of the city, I found out that the owner of the local (800-year-old) pub was a huge Zappa fan, so one evening when Jimmy Carl Black was over, I took him into town to a muffin men gig, without telling him where we were going or why...
-He got into a bit of trouble with is wife for coming home late, but I always got treated like a family member after that evening!
