Have a busted KM184 capsule. Took it apart and everything inside is kosher, but the capsule pin sheared off inside the backplate. Neumann wants $700 for a replacement K40 capsule - darn near as much as buying a brand-new KM184.
Me being someone who goes by a "waste not" mentality, I've done up a quick CAD file and drawing and I'm preparing to order the replacement from a CNC shop, but I figured I'd ask here first if anyone else needed one. I've got someone on a Neumann facebook page that wants 2 of them, and figured I can get a bulk discount for more of them AND get some people's capsules back up and running. I don't have a quote yet, Xometry's instant quote said $135 for a single pin but 278 bucks for 10 of them. I suspect my usual shop can do better.
