Krimp connectors

I always crimp over soldering if possible. Dsubs, Edacs, molex, Spade connectors, DL (if someone has the cash to use these connectors). I have yet top get a japanese JY (I think) crimp tool, but fortunately I don't see these too often because they're very fiddly. It's superior. The only downside is you wind up with quite a lot of money invested in crimp tools & pin extraction tools. Tip - Look for them used on ebay !!

Theres a bewildering array of tiny connectors in use now ,
Way to many to possibly own every crimp tool ,

I often strip out wiring looms from equipment with these types of connectors pre-crimped for use later on ,
 
When I was with a telco, techs got fired for soldering. Twisted wires done right are really better. Even for mains...

A very hard to sell truth. Especially to car mechanics.

I'm an avid cable collector too. Alas, there are so many connectors. Well, we have USB-c to worry about these days.
