LA2A Calibration or known working levels?

Anyway to verify the right "levels" on a LA2A?

Got one where the client thinks it's "too hot"

It does seem to clip really quick, but that seems rather subjective
 
Need more info on the LA2a , DIY , or original , T4B by ? pics ?  Description of compression curve ? ......
 
LA is a hot babe ;)
I had the same feel when builded my Drip La2a.
groupdiy guys recommend me using input pad (as matched in original UA manual) or using gain pot divider. 100K pot - original > 50K pot + 50K resistor in series - changed.

Yep, they're hot little buggers.

You can pad the input as suggested in the LA2A manual or hit them lightly and turn down the output level.

They make awesome distortion boxes when you turn them up.
