Least expensive 500 DIY pres?

I hate these types of questions, but I'm picking up a lunchbox of my own (we have two at the studio), and I want to start filling it up. I want to build a pair of pres on a tight budget.

So far Classic API kits seem to be the least expensive. I built a few of Jeff's kits, and they are great. Any other contenders?
