Hi,

I built a Link Audio DYNX module. Everything works EXCEPT the gate. The meters for the gate show correct gain reduction, release times look correct, however, the audio is not affected by the gate, regardless of the settings. I've checked and I have correct voltages throughout, I was able to perform calibration, and compression works perfectly.

According to the schematic, it looks like the gate is controlled by the TL074. Could that be the issue? I have no idea of how to start troubleshooting it.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that when I first built it, I placed the TL072 backward and fried it. I replaced it. Perhaps something else got damaged?

Thank you!

The DYNX schematic is on page 10 of this PDF: DYNXGUIDEREVB.pdf

Ok, maybe a more straightforward question because I don't know how to proceed, and I have checked everything that I can:

Would it be a good idea to replace all the ICs? Is that a good idea? Or is it more likely that something else is wrong?
