Is the safety earth IEC pin in the PSU connected to frame or floating like in the linked picture ?

Yes I believe it was connected to the chassis. I think you were probably seeing the empty solder point on top of the IEC module - this is where I added my ground connection - but there are two pins connected to that point on either side of the module which connect to the PCB, and then from there it connected to the chassis somehow. Wasn't immediately obvious how.

Got the rest of the DO mod done, works like a charm now Thanks again for helping along with this.
