hey
im just wondering if there is any grayhill or elma switch that is compatible with the lorlin pinout/dimensions..... or any other manufacturer that is of better quality...
im doing some builds with lorlins and i can't stand their feel.  cheers

Pinout compatible according to the datasheets but not sure about the quality..

Mouser do a pin compatible equivalent made by  Alpha (Taiwan). Mouser part number 105-SR2612F-26-21RN for example.

In some of my commercial Gyraf products I use an equivalent/compatible type from French "APEM" - available with hard-gold contacts, e.g. ref. PLR3733 for a 2x6 switch. Better quality and durability than standard Lorlin/Alpha types.

hey jakob

these look great. i can't find them anywhere though. do you know a good source? cheers

I get them directly at the APEM distributor..

edit: I see that it is the "feel" you don't like about the Lorlin's: I'm afraid that APEM are pretty much the same, feelwize.

What is it abut their feel you don't like? What sort of knob are you using. I use the Alpha types with chicken head knoabs a lot and they have a nice easy smooth feel.

Cheers
