Can anyone recommend a range of Low ESR/audiophile axial capacitors (25-50v ranges) for recapping an old desk? I'm struggling to find axial types. I know the old Neve modules had Philips/Vishay ones, blue with dark blue stripes but I see these listed as long life not necessarily low ESR. Would appreciate any leads......

You won't find axial low-ESR's - board space (footprint size) has become too important (and thus expensive) nowadays for manufacturers to bother offering axials in any other spec than "general purpose".

"Audiophile" caps, from what i've seen, are not even available in 105C-grade, just 85C - i could be wrong, never had any reason to look for any of those.

How do you define what is an "audiophile" cap' ? What figure do you have as criteria for low ESR ? Modern caps often have reduced ESR compared to older types.
