Gentlemen,
As a mathematical moron.... how does one arrive at this?.......
470R 3.42H = 20HZ

Any help for the numerically challenged idiot?

peter

In an RL series circuit, the inductive reactance (XL) = wL

So, with your values, f=21.9 Hz.

f = R / (2 * PI * L)

Thanks Mats,
Have I got this right?

Frequency = Resistance divided by (2 times PI times Inductance)

PI = 3.14159265?

F= R/ (6.28*L) ?

Cheers
peter

No. Pi equals 3 for selling timber in Illinois, and for almost any audio purpose.

Cheers Paul,

You mathematicians crack me up.

"Ere John..... instead of writing 6.... let's write 2*Pi to really mess em up..!!"
