I have a lamp with a threaded mount that is an M14 x 1.0 according to my thread pitch checker. This seems rare as a screw pitch. A 1.25mm pitch seems more common. I was wondering if M14 x 1.0 is a common microphone stand pitch?
I need to make an adaptor to mount the lamp. I'd like to thread a screw or rod into the lamp and tap a 1/4"-20 thread hole in the middle to screw it into a 1/4"-20 threaded rod. If it's a standard microphone mount thread pitch that will give me more options.
