Meder DIP series reed relays - any good?

Are the DIP series reed releays from Meder good enough for audio signal switching?

I certainly think so.

The Hi/Lo mic switching in the Calrec UA8000 uses these. It's one of the few parts in there that has NEVER failed to date - even in this hard-to-do low-level switching application.

But they're kinda expensive..

Actually, I was afraid they were too cheap ...
(After reading a book that recommends mercury-wetted reed relays as the only good solution :shock: :roll: )
They are 2.35 EUR at Reichelt.
