Melcor op amp differences

Does anyone know the difference between a Melcor 1672, Melcor 1731, and MAP 1731a ?

I might be wrong its been a while, but I believe, one had a diode in it that smoothed some distortion and another version didn't..... could've been a diode or mybe a capacitor...anyone?

something like "x one came after and was a bit more hi fi sounding"

or "theres no difference they're identical"

would do it

i searched all over the inter-webs and couldn't find anything, this looked like the best place to ask.
