That's what I have. All my mics are 5pin XLR (it could be in fact, 4pin), where one of the pins is dedicated to capsule polarization voltage which is between 30-200V.

So Marik you have 2 HTs 1 for amp & variable for capsule ??..............Interesting.

Im currently having a problem with my mic PSU HT its down to 70V instead of 120....so I spose the capsule is at un standard voltage which may not be a prob but the amp part is being starved....tho it does sound good...but im wondering if it was ever right as in correct voltage ...dont think it was.

looks like im gotta be doin some experiments.

Do some of you tested max voltage on Ari K47 Flat ? Mine is in a t.bone SC1100 which can provide (only) ~56v.

In another SC1100 but tubed the AliExpress K47 is fed by 68v and I fear to go much above that (i would stay below 80v). I set a pad by reducing this polar voltage from 68v to 38v and loose about 10dB

Why don't you test at what polarization voltage the diaphragm of the Arienne K47f capsule collapses? Then tell us.

Why Arienne doesn't announce the voltage range to not pass over ? It's not for the customer to make that kind of damaging test...

No manufacturer specifies the voltage at which a capsule collapses. It is not of great interest, we all want as much headroom as possible, so do not exaggerate with polarization voltage. Good SNR is obtained from optimizing the electronic circuit.
For applications with quieter sources, a lower headroom can be accepted.
Rode uses higher voltages, but I think they mechanically tension the diaphragm harder, which I think influences the frequency behavior.

So an average of 60v to 80b should be ok for most of LDC capsules...
What's the higher voltage you ever used and to which capsule ref. ?
