Hi all,

I've built a few kits such as the sound skulptors.  I really want to build the MK47 and by the ioaudio step by step I am confident I can build the amplifying circuit and attach the capsule, however, I cannot read a schematic and have little theoretical knowledge of electronics but I can make a good solder joint and swap components.

My question is, where is a good place to start with a PSU for this kit.  Are there any step by steps and if not, whats the best way to go about it?

Thanks

Actually, building the PSU would be a great way to learn how to read a schematic!  ;)

You can for example take a paper copy of the schem, glue it to a piece of wood, put nails
in the junctions and solder the components accordingly. In that way its easy to change values
when testing the mikrophone. Wenn everything works as it should the hard work starts putting
the PSU circuit in a suitable enclosure. Its difficult to do a step by step because of all the different possibilities. Study the thread how others made it. I reccomend you to ask further questions in the
thread above.

Beware , youre working with high and lethal voltages! Dont fry yourself!

Good luck!

Thanks for your comments guys.  It seems there are no shortcuts! lol.  The drawing board it is.  I'd still like to hear any other suggestions.
