Modding the Buss Amps on a 80's A&H

Hi all,

DIY newbie here,

I've recently been offered a "long term loan" of a 1982, allen and heath syncob B console. Its 32ch 24 buss, modular, with patchbay. I've got the schematics, the operators manual, various other bits and pieces.

I'm think of replacing a few channels worth of 5534 buss amps (which are on each channel card) with modern ICs, or a 990 style opamp. The intention is to get different flavours of summing.

Any advice appreciated

Scan 'em!! Not much help can be given without seeing the actual circuit. Not that I'm likely to be any use, but I think that's what the gurus will ask for...

Hi , nice to have one more on this forum.

It would be nice if you would scan those schemo's , because we do love schemo's and if you would post the on the net somewhere it would be nice to know where.
