Basic microphone troubleshooting techniques and stumbling blocks would be very useful.

Examples:

1) Measuring a power supply output unloaded vs dummy load or mic load
2) voltmeter loading when measuring voltage in hi-z sections

I don't believe in sticky threads. These only accumulate in the individual categories at the top and push the current threads down. Makes no sense, open up an appropriate thread with a descriptive title and the rest is done by the very good search engine on groupdiy.com. No need for sticky threads for specific topics, there is a lot of important and valuable information on groupdiy.com, that is the brand core, do we want to make them all sticky threads?

If we represent all central topics of our field with sticky threads, we will have numerous stickies at the top of the threads in all subsections of the forum. #Ironie on You know this from many other forums on the Internet, looks great and is totally functional, because these "always the same questions" are no longer asked. #Ironie off.

By the way, you could also point to a corresponding thread without a sticky thread.

So we design the forum for people who can not use the search engine and will ask the appropriate questions anyway. With or without sticky threads.
