Now that I've done a couple of PM-1000 rack jobs I've got some spare input module bits lying around - fader assemblies, panpots, and buss switches in particular. So here's my very vague plan: Build a studio monitor controller using those bits. I'm thinking of using one or two of the buss switches for input choice, a panpot (quad stack!) for stereo balance, and a fader assembly (refitted with a dual pot) for overall gain.

Anybody else done this? Seems like I'd want to build some simple input buffers, with trimpots to match between sources. Maybe those LED meter parts that have been sitting around unused for a couple years for general metering purposes.

Nothing fancy in the circuitry - very simple opamp stuff.
