Hi! I want to build a mono gssl. Is there any point to stuff the whole pcb, and then hook it up in parallel? So that both channels get the same input and output.

Or is it better to leave other side of the pcb empty and just use one side?

..easiest to just build a standard unit and then just use one channel. That way, you have a stereo compressor at hand when you need one. And savings on parts building a mono would be small, not worth the hazzle imo.

most of the cost is in the case and power supply etc. Gyraf is completely right, build it as a stereo.

Alternatively, one could make a '500 build of it. i'm sure there's a few floating around.

I was thinking of making a dual mono unit in a 2U case. I already have one standard stereo gssl.

Im going to fully build 2 boards then. Can I run them both from the same toroid?

Should be no problem.

You could check this as well.
