- Rode NT45-O omni capsule; $80 on e-bay (used and recommended by famed Classical recording engineer Tony Faulkner on his NT6s).
- 1/2" copper pipe end cap.
- 1/2" copper coupler
- pc of 1/2" copper pipe to connect the above two.
- Length of mini-quad cable salvaged from a broken Audio Technica choir mic.
- Spring strain relief from miniplug.
- TA4F connector.

All I bought were the capsules and the TA4Fs; everything else I just had laying around.

Only internal parts are 820pf cap between capsule and 2SK660 FET,1 gig resistor to feed polarization voltage to capsule, and 2 56pf RF caps from drain and source to ground.

Powered by any of several AT power modules I've modified for impedance-balanced output (favorite is the AT8533x; all through-hole parts).

Just used 820 because that's what's in the Oktava MK-012 and some of Scott Dorsey's articles. Usually included in variety packs.

... And that makes that particular value somehow "holy"? 😁

Not that the exact value is relevant in any technical / meaningful way, in conjunction with a 1G resistor (or the diodes inside a 2SK660)...
