If the cap has minus sign followed by arrows pointing to one leg, or arrows pointing to a minus sign (next to one leg) then that leg is minus! Often on radials, the positive leg is longer (another clue).

Sometimes it looks like they put a minus sign, then arrows next to it pointing somewhere which might lead you to think that the arrows were pointing to the opposite polarity, but it's not that sophisticated.

The 'plus'-side is usually that side where all the dangerous stuff jumps out when you fanatically reverse-polarize the cap :wink:

This is not my week.

If it brings you any comfort, it hasn't been mine for about the last 4 weeks. That's why I'm still here at work @ 12:30am, typing up test procedure docs...then again this just hasn't been a good project for me either...
