I'm looking for a replacement for the MPSL01 in an amp I have.

I have some spare parts lying around and was wondering if a BF422 would be able to work.....

https://www.onsemi.com/pub/Collateral/BF422-D.PDF

It's Q3 on the schematic.... My version is kind of in between the  two versions but they are similar......Mines closer to the A version..

I wasn't sure if I could, if other component values would have to be changed or if I'd have to swap both channels q3 or even all of the mpsl01 if this would even work.....  I think I have 4 or 5 of the BF422...

I wasn't sure what specs are important to look for and I can't seem to find a substitute. The collector current specs are worrying me the most...

Any ideas on what I can do? Any readily available substitutions that anyone knows about? There's some on the bay but, they aren't cheap and I don't know if there are counterfeits in these........

What about these....???

By the way: the transistors don't look very critical to me: just a differential pair and a current source.
(If it is one of the transistors in the differential pair, it is a good idea to select two transistors with the same characteristics.)

The tail source?

How did you blow that up??

What else blew?

It is a jellybean but must be >60V breakdown. If they used a 60V part, there you go. Ah, but they generously used a 120V part. Odd that it died.
