noisy opamps,  8 pin circular, LM307H, counterfeits on evilbay for big bucks and international wait time, ECG parts are worse,

got five of them, which one should we replace?

see here>

ever do this?  mix and mash , soldered extension leads, way professional looking>

Brown Dog to the rescue thank you Jeezus!  :D

gold plated adapter plates,

http://cimarrontechnology.com/through-holeadapters.aspx

we can report that 5534's overdrive better than 307H under full vol, master on 1 setings,

now we can plug and play musical opamps  all day long.

BB, AD, TI    and any others you see the  geeks using on amplifier forums,

quiet as a church mouse now,

sell old noisy ones on evilbay for $10, take that!

no, we play it cool, lest 750 volts DC finds it's way across the aiorta, :D

LM307H is essentially a '741, compensated 101.

'741 gave opamps a bad name in audio.

Good within its limits. But at one time, there was little alternative, and less understanding of its limits.

Agree to try newer all-purpose chips by ear.
