Quantitatively, there would be multiple differences since it would affect on multiple points of the circuit.
Qualitatively, I could agree, I could disagree, but proving it to some sort of accepted academic or professional standard is very difficult.
Telling someone there is no qualitative difference for a situation where there is definitely a quantitative difference, is usually an exercise in futility and frustration.
I don’t write this as an argument to take any side on this thermal issue specifically one way or the other, I don’t have a set opinion, not having tested the issue in this specific situation.
I am inclined to think it makes little difference but have to go with self proclaimed ignorance on this one.
On the other hand, devices do often seem to sound “a little different” when fully warmed up, running for a good amount of time. Not usually much different though.
