Sometimes you can get away with that...lol.

maybe next time you could at least tape those things down... nothing like breaking a PCB in half during a session... :D

Hope you find some scrap metal laying around to put all that into...good work!

I received The rack cases 2 days before The recording And didnt have Time to Put them in !
Even The mic psu s are not finished !
But IT IS ALIVE ! :D

Looking great!

I see you used both Carnhill and Ed Andersons transformers, am I right?

How would you compare them? Im really interested in Ed's clones but heard next to nothing about them.

yep ! as far as it's setup and doesn't move, it works
gain switching is a little hard but , anyway ....
if anyone"s interested, I'll post some files ( no mix ) as soon as I can
@tomas : the carnhill sounds a bit more "detailed" but it's almost the same
ed's trannies sound real great , IMHO I don't think it's worth paying that much money for carnhills !

I can post an A/B I did with an acoustic guitar ( 1 mic , 2 neve preamps with different Input and Output trannies )

gotta go back to work !
Already recorded 6 songs in 2 days, and today our Sound engineer has a terrible headache, so I have to do the recording and the bass playing !!!  ::)
I NEED HOLIDAYS  ;D

Nice!

I actually understand you, I just can´t wait when I know It´ s working, who cares about looking, it´ s all about the sound!

But with my first builds I´ve learned that usually is better to wait, try, be sure that it doesn´t fail, it´ s nice looking and then make it work in the studio like a champ, looking and sounding awesome. Also, I think a case is more secure and make things easyer, it´ s nice when switches or pots are fixed to something.

I´ ll apply the advice to myself and finish the meter of a La4, paint his case and another for my ssl9k and get them back to the studio. Anyway, congrats for the builds, enjoy them!
