My first poll...

OK, here's the question:

I lead a six-piece high-energy Zimbabwean marimba band. I also do a lot of solo traditional Zimbabwean mbira music. I play the solo music with the group often-as a musical interlude.

Is it better to send two press kits out to one marketing person-one for me and one for my group-or is it better to make a combined kit with a sampled CD with one or two songs from each arrangement?

People don't have the time or interest to read a lot of stuff. If they read one, you're lucky.

I've never had much luck , but i'd say have both ready ,
and perhaps tailoring somewhat specifically to whom you
are targeting , along with the shotgun approach .
