Ebay purchase, everything works perfectly in host mode with computer; software mixer does everything it's supposed to, all ins/outs functional; so doesn't appear to be any driver/computer compatibility issues (Mac).
The settings made in the software mixer are supposed to remain when in standalone mode, but the Line Ins and SPDIF In go silent (again, both work fine in host mode).
I'm following the manual's procedure for entering standalone (computer off, ProFire off, disconnect firewire, power on ProFire), but Line Ins and SPDIF in remain silent, though their levels were up full in host mode.
Line outs and SPDIF out work fine in standalone.
