need help with a + - 18Vdc oower supply

ok so i'm trying to make my first mic pre.
i have no idea how to get started with it. i need a +- 18v power supply. see i was going to get all the caps and resistors and then i talked to this guy and he said i should get a schematic for a power supply that way i could get all the caps and resistors for it and save on shipping. he said without a power supply i would never be able to test my mic pre so i need a power supply. can anyone help me get pointed in the right direction?

SSLTech offered a nice design for a +/-18V supply with 48V phantom a while ago. Anyone have the link?

Have a look in the Meta section. There are plenty of poer supply designs.

I am currently making my first mic pre too and want to make a similar power supply, maybe 24V which will make it easy to derive 48V phantom power.

JLM audio has a PCB that's cheep, then all you need are the parts from Mouser or Digikey, http://www.jlmaudio.com/JLM Power Supply.htm The 3 rail should do what you need. and also give you phantom.
