Hi there!

I was just wondering if someone could please confirm something for me.
On the Neumann VCA101 schematic, there is a footprint specified.

Only the overview of that footprint is specified, no actual measurements.

Can someone please let me know if there is a dimensional reference for it (preferably if it's on an original data sheet - none of the ones on the Kubarth site appear to contain this info), preferably also with width/height/length of the device and the relative offset of the pins?

I assume also that the pins are spaced at 0.1" intervals?

I can't find this info anywhere online.

thanks!
L

I doubt you will find a data sheet, it was a part only used by Neumann and not sold separately.
However, there have been times German Broadcast had enough power not buying anything without a schematic,
otherwise that internal schematic you find a Kubarths place wouldn't exist either.

However, the VCA is in the same housing like the Neumann OA12 and OA20 DOAs but with a different pinout.

All numbers below are in mm:

silent:arts once again you have been an utter scholar and gentleman.
Thank you very much for this otherwise-impossible-to-find-info. I'd kind of hoped you might read this as I didn't think anyone else would know!

I love this place.

Regards,

Do you have any plans with the VCA101?

I do indeed, but, as my time is very sparse at the moment, and I have many projects on the go at once, I'll keep it to myself until it's a little further along as it's currently just a pipe-dream.

Though I've managed to create a full LTSpice simulation of the VCA101 unit and a full U473 as well. So at the very least I'm having fun with gigantic circuit simulations.
