Neve cards power supply wiring optimisation?

Hi everyone,

I have 4 cards that need 24V in a module that has an external PSU.

x2 BA183 cards
x2 BA438 receiving cards (with respectively 8 opamps on one and 2 on the second one)

As the unit is pretty tighly packed in a 1U box I would like to avoid the multiplication of power cables running arround.

Can I power the two BA183 cards from the same 24V pair, and the two opamps receiving PCBs from a second 24V pair, or would each board benefit from a direct connection to the PSU's input xlr?

With just four cards I would suggest you bus the power and grounds from board to board using the thickest wire you can. Then feed the power the the physical centre of these two.
