I'd like to add a limiter to my 1272 talkback module which amplifies a boundary mic from the live room. I have a spare 1278 cue amp chassis which is double width and will accommodate a 1272 and a eurocard quite easily.
What DIY options are available? I thought about a 1176 clone but I only have a power buss of 24v available
Is there any clever way of getting +30v and -10v for the 1176 voltages?
I thought about running the 1176 at 24v and using a battery for the -10v bias supply. Less headroom but not drastic on a talkback module - hey?
ADR760 would be cool but the DIY circuit boards available are much bigger
any ideas??

Guitar-pedal limiter/compressor.

Runs on 9V (either regulate, or just throw full 24V on it--- some will thrive some die).

"Engineer's Thumb" by Merlin is a re-think of classic 1970s sustain pedals with better scheming; also fully documented.
