Hello all. I am Zoltan, living in the SF Bay area. Although my profession is working on computer all day, hands-on electronics has been a hobby of mine since childhood. I generally love everything old - like tube electronics. I also venture into working on stringed instruments and instrument amps for my youngsters. I got to this site following a thread about rewinding Fisher OPTs - which is one of my planned activity in the near future for a model 400 receiver. The receiver started out from a gutted chassis, so it will end up with many non-original components - even faceplate and dial glass made by myself.
