I checked the photos and the relays and Trimpots got me pretty curious.

What PCB is that?
it doesn't look the PeterC pcb
Did you dedign the PCB yourself?

Thanks

Pots with one center-detent, if at all. The original MEQ-inspired circuit by PeterC does not support stepped controls -- several reasons. Calibration is the hard part here. I had built mine without center-detented pots and it's fine. It's a dial-in and flip-the-hard-bypass (for A/B'ing) design.

Thanks. I should have been more specific as that is what I meant.
You and Whoops had conflicting takes on the build thread from what I just looked into. Whoops advised strongly for and you said without but with the caveat that it makes the build a bit more complicated. Which is a non-issue here obviously.

So center detent pots are not necessary or beneficial to have in this? I guess I should read through the thread more to understand better.

For me Pots with Center Detent and tuning/calibration of 0dBs at the Center position is detrimental, and for sure personally I would never build this unit with any of those.
Audio Maintenance sells Omeg pots for this project with center detents.
Saying this the original unit does have center detent pot but the center position seems to be calibrated.

In this case, the unit Lukas is selling seems pretty good, and although the pots don't have center detents by the number of Trim Pots in the PCB I would guess it's calibrated for 0dBs at the center position

Building this thing was highly educational for me.

Centre-detent pots (rev log) can be added any time later. I built mine without, after having read the entire built thread (several times) and analyzing the circuit. Hard bypass is a must-have.

It's a very cool EQ after all. As for use in mastering, I have my opinion about it. But I'd think it can be done.

For stereo balance i add multiturn pot in place R30/56k2 in both channels.

I have on sale what is on the pics, two pcs, tested working good, Potentiometer Omig with center detens(from AudioMaintenance). Input INA134, and DRV134 output.

Please explain why one could not simply substitute the pots for stepped switches with appropriate resistor values.

You can use stepped switches with resistors for sure, it’s well documented in the Nite EQ thread and there’s even an excell doc to calculate the resistor values. I have no idea what member Script meant with that.
But I also don’t want to hijack Lukas thread, this is a sales thread in the black market and Lukas is selling some really good units.

I can see Lukas pcbs are better than PeterC original ones, I can see Relays there (probably for Hard/true bypass) and Trimpots for calibration, both are a big improvement on the PeterC pcbs

Agreed, the boards look fantastic. If I didn't already have a pair of populated boards I would grab this up immediately.

...i have few blank pcb if anyone interested...i do few mistakes on pcb(if that doesn't disturb), one is wrong connection for Led Peak(should be with output U1 ne5534 , not input), and second, if someone choose Input symetrical IC THAT1240 output trace going to U4 must be cutting(if u choose simetrical input on one half U4 NE5532, u don't cutting this trace)...look pic's.
