Greetings,,

Title says all. I’ve found a PAiCE SR-112 graphic EQ for sale nearby and it looks super interesting. I can find absolutely NO information on the company that built it, however. Aside from the fact that they were based in Cambridge, England.

I was hoping somebody might have some info (or documentation) they’d be willing to share, about PAiCE in general and/or the specific EQ in the question?

It looks super interesting: my intuition is telling me that it could possibly be an inductor based graphic EQ with a stereo limiter on the output stage? (See photo).

I would venture a guess that the threshold control is for the LEDs, not limiting. Perhaps to indicate clipping elsewhere in the system.
I’ve already contacted the person who’s selling it and, according to him, the threshold control is for a limiter. From what he’s said, it would seem that red LEDs are frequency specific peak indicators (for the purpose of dialling in the limiter).

He doesn’t have any more info than that: no formal documentation or information about the unit or the manufacturer.

He has heaps of other weird, rare and, obscure recording equipment in his personal collection though, a decent chunk of which seems to be so unheard of that I’m actually struggling to find any listings or mentions of them online in general?
