Hey.
Someone I know wants to make one of these,

so Im making a few PCBs for him. Would anyone here be interested in a PCB for this ? I wont make a whole lot of them - just wanna know if i should run it on a large panel to a few extras.

I have no idea. Im not really interested in it myself.
I just got a request from a close friend to make a few(3). If I put it on a large panel Ill have 6 or 7 extra. It does look like their selling kits at the page, but the gerbers were also avaliable to download from there.

Is each board a stereo amp? If so, I'll take one, otherwise, if it's a single channel, I'll take two. :grin:

I wrote them to ask if I could sell the couple of extras that I made. They said I cant charge anything, but I can share them. No sense in letting the extras go to waiste, so Ill probably offer them "first come" when I know how many extra I have. Ive got you down for a set consul. Ill probably have 1 or 2 more sets then. (My m8 might want to keep an extra set handy)

Is this just a power amp btw ?

As I understand it, it's a pure class-a power amp, good up to about 50 watts peak power. I'll bet it sounds pretty damn good if, like me, you like to keep your volumes reasonable (below 10 watts RMS, sometimes way below).

I'm more than happy to pay you for the shipping, at the very least, and any other expenses you may incur.

Reading further into the description, it may not be class-a after all, but a class-b. You probably need to dive into previous articles to know for sure.

Either way, I'm sure it sounds pretty good.

This is a very Hi Fi thing and may not suit everyone.

It appears that this particular amp is a class-a MOSFET-based design. It looks like a good, solid design, and not expensive to build.

I am not sure why you desided that I need it more than you, but I appreciate it! At least I have passive speakers :grin:
