caveat.... this is flirting dangerously close to breaking Ethan's rule #3
Ethan's rules said:
3. Topics involving the exchange of money should be kept only to the Black Market or White Market.

This seems innocent enough but just saying...

The guy who runs the site also has some DIY winding vids on youtube, link below where he winds a 5e3 type OT.
I'm new to winding but he used aluminum tape throughout the whole build :O

Credit due for being the only supplier of low volume parts in Europe for winding tube amp transformers.

for sure, it’s the only supplier of low volume parts for transformers that I know in Europe.
There’s a supplier here in Portugal but the minimum they would sell me for EI lams would be 14kgs.
And wire the same.

I was able to buy from them tape and varnish for transformers in unity amounts but that was it.
I have enough varnish for life (5liters), if it doesn’t dry up. It states a shelf life of 3 years, but I added some solvent and when it’s resting the solvent will move to the top of the varnish and protect it from air. Varnish can be reused and it has been 5 years and still going strong

That is a great site, has all you'd need for power/output transformers inc bobbins/terminals/end bells/paper and varnish

Do you know what the minimum order is and the price/unit they use?

eg this one:

Looks like 96mm height EI giving a 32mm width tongue and 1.7W/m2 = 1.7T or 17000 Gauss (close to M6 ga silicon steel?), if building a 32x32mm core, we'd need the thickness of the lams but what volume/weight/price unit do they use, they quote this:
PVP s/IVA: 4.00euro

IVA in Portuguese is VAT, that price is before VAT applied
The 4€ Price is per Kg, the bad news is that you need to buy the full block.
The Lams come in big blocks of many Kgs, and they don’t part it out, weight of blocks varies but will be probably heavier than 14kgs.
They are supplying factories and industries and not the average Joe.

They also have wire in huge spools

I bought from them the Tape and transformer varnish

I spoke with Brandon from Mohog audio a while back trying to get him to make me his LA 3 clone and he said that the hairball version of the 5002 from Ed is made specifically for them. And you can’t buy it outside of the kits. Don’t know if that’s true.
This is true. I started an 1176 project and have put it on hold while I search for the elusive UA-5002 transformer.
I think Studio Electronics in LA sells the the modern UA version.
