Pcb trace broken- Help please!

I was soldering a wire to a pcb and then noticed that the trace is broken.
is there a special conductive paint? should I try to shave a penny? Is all hope lost?

Just solder a cut off resistor leg/wire across the break.

Reminds me of a announcement, done engraved on embossed card stock in the style of a newborn baby notice, from a (former) guy who had the operation. The person worked at TRW. I liked the part particularly that gave credits to two doctors for "plumbing" and "fixtures".
