Hi, new member here. I've been searching for a SDC body with a nosecone (contact pin). Mic&Mod sells a KM84-style kit with both a solo and a stereo set, but they offer more than I really need. Anyone in here who knows where I can find these?
That's a good idea! There are a lot of cheap SM57 you could gut.

For KM84 style mics, SM57 is not the right choice imho. It's a dynamic mic without nose cone. For KM84 style mics, you can use many of the 22mm diameter bodies of budget SDCs, such as Takstar CM-60 or CM-63, Alctron T-02A, MXL603S, MXL604, MXL991, CAD Audio GXL1200 and Nady CM-90. They may not be exactly identical to the Mic&Mod and Micparts KM84 clones, but at least you can screw their 22mm capsules and the excellent 3U Audio capsules on them.Hi, new member here. I decided to go for the Takstar CM-60 this time, and believe your (correct me if I'm wrong) KM84+ design. Very much looking forward to the build.
I have an omni capsule from MP that I'll use at first, but will invest in a 3U cardiod later down the line.
