Pickup Shipping Service for Reel-To-Reel?

I was thinking about buying a reel-to-reel but it's "Local pickup only" about 4 hours down the highway. Do you think it would be ok to use a service like uship.com for a reel-to-reel? It's not even boxed AFAIK. Is that insanity or is there a better way?

Insanity. It will get destroyed if you have someone else pack it unless it’s well crated.
