Power supply in UK

Hello,

(Apologies in advance if this is a naive question, but my previous electronics experience has been with external 'off the shelf' power supplies...)

I've been looking at the DIY projects on Gyraf's website. The PSUs in each are designed for continental 220V. Would they work without modification on the UK 240V mains, or would higher-rated toroids be required?

Yes, we have 230V nominal all over EU now.

But.

In Denmark it's defined as +10/-20% if I remember correctly. UK has +20/-10%.

I don't think so. 230V + 20% would surely make some gear blow up or seriously malfunction :shock: 230V - 20% is bad too

I've had well over 245 at the wall in both York and Leeds (home & studio).

All the '220' european stuff works fine.

I have my fingers crossed.
