pro tools HD without hardware

Hi,


I've read on the web that Pro Tools HD Native should work without the hardware. So one could buy a license with an iLok and use 3rd party interfacing?

That's what I did. Purchased pt10/11HD SW license only and use UAD HW for I/O. Limited to up to 32 I/O's but all the HD features in the SW.

Hi thanks for the answer. That sucks, the most important feature for me was up to 64 outputs.
