PSU for NYDave one bottle X8

I'm about to embark on 8 one bottle's in a box like Freddy G's.  I just have a question about the power supply, what would be the right size power transformer to handle the current of 8 one bottles?  reading through the original one bottle thread it seems that the 12AV7's draw 7mA each, so a PT that supplies more than 56ma should be fine like a Hammond 261E6 (http://www.hammondmfg.com/261.htm) right?
On NYDave's PSU schematic it says to divide R1 and multiply C2 by the number of pre's to power, for 8 pre's this would be R1=about 600 ohm and C2=about 175uF would this be the right approach?

HT current draw is fine,
but 8 tubes are going to burn your transformer choice,{transformer burning smells somewhat like bacon for your interest.}
8 x filament current plus a bloody good margin=?

So go for 2 or 3 x 261G6 or an E6 with a separate LT transformer for your filaments.
Then you could use your E6 filament for a EZ81/6X4 tube rectifier.(though first cap MUST be 15uF not 47uf)


And venture towards a choke for replacing the resistor,10H @ 75mA do nice.Evibay will have plenty.
