If they're original they're probably on their last legs.

There's plenty of modern equivalents to choose from.  You may not get the exact capacitance and working voltage but that won't be an issue.

Check Antique Electronic Supply.  They carry all the three or more section Mallory remakes.  If you just need two sections, the prices are a lot better but they don't have the same look of the old ones

If there's sufficient space in the unit then you can also just disconnect the old cap, leave it in for the looks and add new ones inside.

Little follow up on my story, it was indeed the PSU caps!
I ordered a direct replacement from Antique Electronic Supply, it was by far the easiest solution, pin to pin replacement, same size component.
