I’m converting my dual mono solid state Pultec to a stereo unit with all stepped switches for use on my mix bus. Everything is working well except for the low frequencies of one channel.
With all boost and cut controls set to zero, and bypassed or not, one channel has a 1.5-2 dB low frequency boost (attached on image of me doing sweeps just through the filter section, problematic channel in blue).
When I use the low cut on the abnormal channel, it only does a midrange cut, and the frequencies below 100Hz aren’t affected. When I boost the lows, both channels increase the same amount, the one side is still a couple of dB higher.
I know I’m missing something or have one bad joint somewhere, but I’ve checked all my wiring and everything looks good
Any tips for what part of the unit could be causing this issue? Thanks for anyone’s help!
