Hey all, I build nice faders for musicians, and I'm currently prototyping a new tiny little screen that has an "FPC" connector (Flexible Printed Circuit).

It would be much easier for me to use the FPC connector but that means I need to sus out the schematic for it. I'm 99% there, but I just have a question about which pin would be ground on the 18-pin connector?

From the schematic it looks like Pin 3 - sorry if this is obvious - but what makes me uncertain is it's also connected to VCC on the other side.

Thanks for thoughts,

Mike

Look up the datasheet for that display? Or... where is that schematic from?

Connectors don't have "schematics", they're just "dumb" pieces of metal. They conduct whatever signals you hook up to them.

Thanks Krohn.

There is a data sheet but it's 166 pages long and seems to be all about programming registers and rising/falling logic edges. I didn't find anything to answer the question in it, although it might be in there.

However, I have one of the screens, so I just ohm'ed it out. Duh.

Pin 3 is indeed ground.

Thank you Khron.
