bet you can guess what this is for...

anyway, what kind of diodes should I get to do this? I am about to put in an order from Mouser and would like to include these.

thanks!

That mixer will work just fine on 48V. They used 44V because they kept Phantom on a separate power supply. If you are just using one power supply, feed the 48V to both Phantom and preamp.

Can't guess, but you could use about 8 1N4004's in series with the positive line to drop you down without resistor trial and error plus heat.

ahhh, ok. I mean, 4 Volts does not seem like a big deal. Maybe I can split the difference by adjusting the supply to put out 46V?

Either way, I am ordering the 48V linear supply from Mouser 0.5A to power these 2 PM1k modules. If I am feeling adventurous I will just dig out some rectifier diodes from my collection of parts and see what I can do. Thanks!
