Announced around the same time as Robbie Robertson, sixto Rodriguez has passed.
For those that don’t know sixto was the subject of the documentary “searching for sugarman” which tells his tail of him being a prolific songwriter in the 1960’s
Though he faded into obscurity in the US, Rodriguez became a huge hit in South Africa and was widely rumoured to have died. Two obsessed fans set out to learn the man's true fate. It’s a great doco.
