I got to meet him once. I was invited to a holiday dinner at a uber high end italian restaurant in beverly hills. He happened to be there dining with a party of people. There also happened to be 2 other known actors in place having their own respective dinners with people. It started off with Richard Gere, walking up to him and paying respects. Then Angelica Houston followed suit. Syndey happened to be sitting next to my table consisting of my friend and myself. By pure luck we struck up a short conversation before the food arrived. He was courteous, gracious and just an awesome person. As much as I have yet to fanboy over anyone, I will say it was pretty cool to get to meet him and chat random holiday things for a few minutes.
